Well, it’s official around here. I knew the hardware was dying, and I knew it was “brain” based. Finally convinced the other half to take a serious look, and lo! I’ve got a dead thread. So it’s just a matter of time now. Could be a long time. Maybe not.
There’s nothing I can do about it, so I’m just going to have to be content with tearing my hair out while things render sooo slowwwlllly…. The fix is a new computer, and a small one will not be enough. If I have to buy a new CPU (which means replacing just about everything) I’ll need to aim for more cores than I have now. So whacha gonna do.
Let’s just hope things hold out for a while longer yet.
