Comic god’s log 5-28-2020: I am proud today. I am preening.

Since the concept of Akashik began, many years ago, I have been beating my head against the wall in regards to the outline and where things are going. I lacked something I needed, it turned out. I lacked theme. I lacked formula. I lacked… the right lackey.

Enter my husband, the correct lackey, who provided theme. Then fate (or Paimon, who can say) reminded me frequently about the hero’s journey. Finally as of this morning I have what looks like a tight “this where I hope to go” with the characters. I feel the story is certainly very enhanced by it.

I was originally not going to do 3 “books” (or records, as we’re calling them. This method of dividing them is not because of Avatar the Last Airbender although knowing about this method helped). Three was Tim’s idea, but I didn’t want to be at this for the rest of my life. However, that’s how things appear to want to land. On that we will see.  In the meantime, Record One is planned. And I’m proud. And excited.

I can’t believe it’s been a full year since I picked up making the pages again. This is going too slowly! I know I had an operation that interfered by, well, a lot… but I do wish I could work faster on this project. To do that I’d have to be able to quit my day jobs, though. Akashik brings in too little for that.

Anyway, I’m just sharing that I am proud. So very proud. And hopeful. Even if War did tell me a couple of days ago I wasn’t funny.  I look at Akashik and I’m whispering sadly, “This isn’t… funny? Not even amusing? Cry?”

Well anyway, do feel free to drop by the Hammerspace and vote if you wanna see the next page or artwork pertaining to world development, etc.
